Tabitha Morgan
I am an artist and producer currently based in East London, with experience in Theatre Production, PR and Marketing. I have a range of skills within Productions Arts and Performance, working as a creative and in mangement.
My work streams from poetry to playwrighting, with a keen interest in queer horror and comedy, especially the interplay between maker and audience. Audiences take centre stage in everything I do, whether I choose to invite them in, or alienate them entirely. I acted as Primary Producer for the Award Winning Student Theatre Company: Queen Mary Theatre Company for their 2022/23 season.
I have recently completed my MA in Collaborative Theatre Production and Design from Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a distinction. Here in a group of ten, we formed a theatre company, devising four shows in a range of theatrical disciplines including Puppetry and Circus.
I achieved a First Class (Hons) BA from Queen Mary University of London in Film Studies and Drama, where I explored performance as activism, specfically in highlighting feminist and queer historical injustices and engaged with a range of artistic and academic disciplines. Other bases of research include Clowning, the importance of the “B-Movie” and confessional montage theatre.
I am an experienced comic performer and writer, having taken two works up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and performing stand up sets at University variety nights. I also work part time with Boat Show Comedy Club as a technician and Front of House Staff.
